How To Grow On Twitter (For All Account Sizes)

Reading time ≈ 2 mins.
Twitter is such a wonderful place to build a brand.
The only problem is that with all the updates and latest algorithm issues, growing on the platform seems to be a problem... especially as of late.
I'm currently working on an experiment where I'm supposed to write 3 threads a week. But before then, let me talk about a way you can get reach and rake in followers even as a small account.
How To Grow On Twitter (For all account sizes)
Growing on twitter is hell nowadays.
Nothing seems to work. Even threads don't perform well anymore
You put in so much effort to produce the best thread ever only for it to flop.
So what exactly should you do to get back on your feet and start growing again?
As we all know, sometimes, the best thing to do in such cases (feeling stuck) is to go back to the basics. And I have just the "basic" solution for you.
Remember when gurus tell you to put out more than 50 comments daily? Well...they're right.
Putting out up to 50 comments daily will take you so far on twitter and make your brand more known in the community.
The more you put yourself out there, the more likely you'll grow as a small account.
So don't worry about threads for now (till I'm done with the experiment)
Focus more on getting eyes on your page and the best way to do that is through the comments.
Although, commenting isn't the only thing you must do to get people to trust you with a follow.
There are two other things that must be in place for this to work.
The 2 Other Factors That Affect Twitter Growth:
1. Your Profile
You never get a second chance to make a great first impression.
People don't have time to check your work to know how good you really are.
You must give people a great first impression for them to trust you enough to give you a follow.
Here are a couple of things you must nail if you want your profile to be perfect.
Your Profile Picture
Your Bio
Your Cover Photo
Your CTA
Your Pinned Tweet.
I wish I had the time to go over every single one of these but if you want to learn about this then stay tuned to get future newsletters or twitter threads. (Hope you're a subscriber/follower? 😉)
2. Your Tweets.
Write to get your ideas out. Then hit publish to share them with the world.

All that matters is to keep creating.
Ultimately, you want to get to the point where you can continuously put out excellent content to your readers.
But here's the thing...
On Twitter, you can't just mindlessly write tweets if you want to make an impact. Think of it as talking.
When you talk, you can decide to say things that have no meaning all in the name of being heard. Or you can watch what you say and only say things when you absolutely must.
This will make you to be very cautious with your words and will force you to say meaningful things and give out useful tips and insights rather than just jokes and arguments.
Give your audience a reason to listen to you.
So instead of tweeting just for the heck of it, find out what your people need to hear—the solution to their problems—and talk about that.
(P.S: This idea also applies to your replies as well)
Once you have these in place, you shouldn't have any problems with converting your profile visits to followers at all.

On my next issue, I'll be talking about how to create your own wealth by writing your way to freedom (the actual theme of this newsletter).
I got my first dollar and best online friends all from writing on social media so I think I'm qualified to teach you about this.
Anyway, this was such an exciting newsletter to write but I'll be dropping my pen here.
See you next Sunday.
