Limiting Beliefs: How it almost cost me a proper funnel
This is why you're still stuck...

Reading time ≈ 1 minute
I've struggled with being consistent for the longest time.
There's always something getting in the way of doing what needs to be done. Either in the form of useless distractions or other day to day activities.
A perfect example of this will be my funnel.
I've created a few funnels in the past but I never settled with one. Especially over the past few months.
I'd rely only on my newsletter and cold DMs and with my small audience, this can be very ineffective.
What I should have done is to optimize my profile with a proper funnel in form of a link and a payment gateway.
I've always known this. Heck, I preach this to others because I know that this is the right thing to do.
But you know what? I didn't do it because I was scared of change.
What if I did and then didn't see results from it? Wouldn't that just be a waste of time?
All that work for nothing.
That was all I could think about for about 6 months till now.
I had a limiting belief that I needed to flush out
I hate to admit it but it's true.
If this can stunt my conversions 6 months, then I think it's a no brainer to never let that happen to you.
But then, how exactly do you tackle this if you're already going through this phase?
How To Flush Out Limiting Beliefs
Confession time
I only told you half of the story.
So how did I get rid of the thoughts that kept me from taking action and sacrificing my lead generation?
Well the answer lies in two practices.
1. Objective reasoning
I started to look at things objectively and then weigh my options to see which had the best return.
And it sure wasn't lazing around doing nothing about my funnel.
When I realized this, I quickly got up and went straight into carrd.
I played around with some templates until I found the one that I wanted and used that to craft a sales page and a landing page (big difference).
After which I hopped over to Flutterwave to create a payment link and then linked that to my sales page and calendly account
And boom. A simple but effective funnel. (The whole process is in the button the end of this post)
And the crazy part about all this is that this only took about 2 hours as opposed to procrastinating for months.
But that's not all…
In all honesty, I didn't just come up with the solution overnight.
I can't remember what video I watched but they made mention of this objective reasoning and so I decided to check it out.
In other words, this process needed a catalyst in the form of that video and my dream is to give you the same catalyst in the form of this newsletter.
Now for the second practice…
2. Asking for help
I never liked asking for help (I still don't). But when I'm battling with something a bit stronger than me, a little support can go a long way.
Knowing this, I asked my brother (front-end developer) for help and he was willing to give me a few tips on how to optimize my pages.
Now, I'm happy with the results I got from this and I have no doubt that this is going to increase conversions.
Same thing goes for you.
If you think you're not good enough then asking for help might be the next best option.
Constructive criticism and support alone can be of huge help.
So yeah. Get yourself a buddy of two who can help you with this.
Big Takeaways:
Self doubt and any other kind of limiting belief is natural. So don't beat yourself up for feeling this way
I tackled my limiting beliefs by thinking objectively and asking for help
Take care of your funnels.
And that will be all for now.
I hope you enjoyed this issue and I will see you next Sunday.
